NokSide Shows That Positive Hip Hop Music Still Stands Strong
Just when you thought that all hip hop seemed to lean more towards was commercialized dance a booty type music, there are artists out there that prove that positive hip hop music still stands strong! There are a handful of artists out there that are still grindin' it out in the underground and bringing uplifting and soulful music to the forefront, and NokSide is grindin' hard and making heavy music presence with his soulful flava!
If you look, um, rather, listen around you, you hear more and more kats that are geared towards this constant trend of trap music, looking for trap beats and making this type of music non stop. However, for that smooth lyrical sound that was made famous by artists like The Roots, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, and others in that genre of conscious rap, it seems that this flava has taken a bit of a backseat, which is a damn shame personally. The flava of this genre of rap needs to be embraced more, and I'm glad to see that artists such as NokSide are still out there on the grind bringing positive hip hop music to the forefront, and Hott music at that!
I had a chance to listen to his track, "Even When I'm Gone" and the track for me is on point! I'll link the Youtube video below for you to listen to. The track is on point though as I was saying. That flavaful positive hip hop music style is there and in full effect! The intro of the track itself is sick with the smooth guitar playing, and NokSide hits you immediately with some lyrical fire once he gets goin' on the track. I was definitely feelin' this track and enjoyed it from start to finish!
NokSide has actually headlined in Cape Cod, MA (where he was born and raised and takes pride in) for Talib Kweli and The Roots, funny enough as I mentioned those artists earlier regarding positive hip hop music. He has been inspired by kats such as The Roots, Talib, Aesop Rock, and Cunnylinguists but has also taken a twist to inspirations such as Pearl Jam, Bob Marley, and Led Zeppelin to give his music that unique edge!
NokSide has pushed further and further and has been making a major name for himself across the nation, especially at Cape Cod, MA. He continues to make hot music for the love of music, not to make music for the cash by making what everyone else is making, and that for me is the essence of making music to begin with. I respect that deeply as I make beats for the enjoyment of what comes to mind, not to fit in with the trends of music out now just because it's a trend.
Nik Gallerani, or NokSide as he is known in music, has been doing music since he was in 6th grade, and has been enjoying it for the love of music. NokSide makes positive hip hop music for the average kat to listen to and enjoy, to enjoy the wordplay and to feel the words and meaning to them. His style of hip hop is unique, and what I definitely consider good music. Perhaps NokSide's major impact of writing lyrics flows more to the fact that he has always been a poet, so wordplay comes easy to him, and flavaful lyrics on his tracks just spread smooth and easy like hot butter on bread. Bottom line is, this kat is pretty nice on the mic and is definitely an enjoyment to listen to.
If you are looking for some hot music to listen to that has that lyrical flava, that smooth feel to it, and just want something a bit different than the usual trap music your mind has continued to hear over and over, you need to check out NokSide for that positive hip hop music feel! Keep grindin, and much respect NokSide for bringin' that great music!
