When you think of the variety of hip hop artists that are out there, you sorta wonder where you may fit in, or where you can take it up a notch. And in today's hip hop music era, there are more and more people jumping into the pot that sometimes, you really have to make yourself stand out as an artist. For some, it's a difficult transition making yourself known, especially since so many are copycatting music. But Michael Fletcher asserts himself in the game as an artist and a producer as well, as you can tell by the video below!
Known also as Mookie Badass, Michael has been pushing through and grindin' hard to make a name for himself, and in leaving an imprint on the hip hop music scene! Born in October of '93 in Nashville, Tennessee, Michael is an Asian American singer, rapper, and producer constantly grindin' on his music and craft. His drive for music was fueled when his parents divorced while he was in elementary school, which prompted a move from where they lived, to the nearby city of Antioch, Tennessee, where Michael began to network and build more and more connections and fanbase! It was this negative event in his life that he turned into a positive event and which led to the rise of his desire and fame in the music industry!
At age fourteen, Michael Fletcher began releasing rap tracks online, and building more and more fanbase as well. The concept of giving up was never a thought in his mind, and he continued to pursue his music to full extent! Ironically, he pursued rapping early on as a professional hobby. However, it was this pursuit and his drive, along with posting up various Youtube videos of his own, that landed him a deal with a major Photography & Video company out of Clarksville, TN which worked out well to his benefit!
At age nineteen, he continued his professional pursuits with his music by signing on to indie label HOPMob Records, where he continues to grind more and more! He also continued to build on his pursuits in the production aspect of things where he perfected his craft towards producing hip hop instrumentals and making some serious bangin' beats for the masses as well, and this in itself separates Michael from many.
For instance, the beat "Family Only" on his beats catalog page, is off the charts! This hip hop beat had me inspired to work on some more beats of my own. There's just something about the bassline and the melody of this beat that brings that thugged street flava out, something I love making as well personally when I get into some beat making. Another beat, "To The Top", brings out that serious anthem flava that will set off any album! For those of you needing that elevating track, this beat will set it off! Be sure to check out his beats catalog for more beats!
When you listen to some of the beats that Michael Fletcher has put together, you'll find some serious fire to blaze your own mixtape or album with! He brings you a variety of different styles from Pop, to R&B, to Hip Hop, and beyond! What Michael does with these beats is on point, and the quality and the flava of the beats themselves will make your tracks stand out! His music has been inspired by many, including such names as Fabolous, Tha Joker, Kanye West, and J. Cole to name a few.
Michael continues to take his craft and his art very seriously and pushes to produce more and more beats, as well as his own tracks and albums. You can view more of his videos as well on his Youtube channel where he showcases more and more of his masterpieces as he produces and records them.
